Creamed or liquid honey – what is the difference and which should you choose?

Creamed or liquid honey?
The main difference is texture and convenience, not a simple division into better and worse honey.
Main differences
Creamed honey: smooth, spreadable and convenient for bread.
Liquid honey: easy to add to drinks, sauces and desserts.
Which should you choose?
- Creamed for toast, pancakes and sandwiches.
- Liquid for tea, dressings and drizzling.
- Either for porridge and yoghurt.
Crystallisation and storage
Natural honey may crystallise. Creaming creates a fine, even structure. Keep tightly closed in a dry, shaded place. Honey must not be given to children under 12 months.
