Before you leave – what to watch out for elsewhere
The honey market is not what it was a few years ago. If you’re considering buying honey somewhere else, here’s what you might encounter:
- ❗ Unknown origin: Many cheap honeys are blends from imports – even if there’s a “farm” on the label, it’s often just a brand with only 10% real honey, the rest is syrup.
 - 🛒 “Apiary” fakes: More and more brands pretend to be real beekeepers, but offer honey that’s industrially processed with no guarantee of authenticity.
 - ⚗️ No aroma or taste: These honeys don’t smell, don’t taste, don’t nourish – you only get the illusion, mostly just sweet syrup.
 - 👤 Marketing, not tradition: Great photos and catchy names – but you have no idea who’s behind the product. Often, it’s just a facade.
 - 🚚 Old & poorly transported: Import honey spends weeks in warehouses, shipped in barrels, often in overheated containers. Weak quality and freshness control is the norm.
 - 💸 The lowest price = the highest risk: What looks like a bargain usually leads to disappointment – you actually overpay for a product with no value or story.

With us, you know what you get and who stands behind it. Don’t be fooled by just a low price or slogans – if you want certainty, choose ApiMiodek.
Forest honey, also known as honeydew honey, has a resinous aroma and a mild taste. Its color is very dark, almost black, often with a greenish hue. Like other types of honey, forest honey is recommended for its medicinal properties.
It is most commonly used for respiratory ailments. Its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and expectorant properties are beneficial for treating common colds as well as more serious conditions such as pneumonia.
Consuming this type of honey also has a beneficial effect on the heart and circulatory system due to its anti-atherosclerotic properties. Forest honey is also used for joint disorders and nervous system conditions. Of course, it is also recommended for individuals with weakened immune systems.
However, some people consume forest honey solely for its unique aroma and slightly sweet taste, which is unlike any other honey. Honey is not a cure, but rather a substance that contains many biologically active components, which can have a positive impact on certain ailments and diseases and aid in healing. It is worth regularly consuming forest honey, as it contains a high amount of nutrients, minerals, vitamins, and elements that are essential for our daily needs.
Quality Assessment:
To determine the content of forest honey in honeydew honey, that is, the amount of honeydew versus nectar from other plants, a test of the specific conductivity of honeydew honey is conducted.
We qualify honey through testing its conductivity in a specialized veterinary laboratory.
The minimum electrical conductivity of forest honey is 0,95 mS/cm.
The honey we offer successfully meets the standard, as its electrical conductivity is approximately 1.2-1.3 mS/cm.
This honey also contains 17.6% water, which classifies it as thick honey.
